This is just an artifact of the way I built it. You could
put up a ALT tunnel betwen Savvis and L3 if that was of
interest (and Savvis & L3 wouldn't have to further
advertise those routes to the rest of the ALT). Also,
its a somewhat artifcial observation because the L3 box
is in London, so I thought it made sense to home it to
RIPE. If L3 had ALT routers in the US, the situation
would be likely different.
BTW, the current configuration of the ALT is a first
cut. There may be better ways to do it, but I did want to
get something running so we could gain some experience.
Or am I answering the wrong question?
