About CFRG
CFRG is an Internet Research Task Force (IRTF) Research Group for the discussion and review of cryptographic mechanisms for network security in general and for the IETF in particular. The group provides a forum where cryptographers, network security experts, and protocol designers can exchange ideas and investigate ways for using new cryptographic developments in the future Internet. For more information, please read our charter.

The IRTF is a sister organization of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) that promotes research of importance to the evolution of the future Internet.

The CFRG Chairs are Ran Canetti and David A. McGrew.
